About Us
Millspeed Technical Solutions, LLC was established in 2010 as a provider of technical design solutions for the automated semiconductor electronics assembly industry. We have since expanded our scope to other aspects of automated assembly equipment design as well as exploring niche markets of sporting and automotive accessories.
We quickly realized that offering professional design services alone was not completely meeting all of our customers needs and expanded our services to prototype fabrication, production, assembly, and testing.
The company was founded by and currently managed by Rick Millen, managing director of Millspeed Technical Solutions, LLC. Rick Millen received his BSME from Binghamton University in 1995. From 1995 to 2009 he worked as a mechanical engineer designing custom equipment for the automated semiconductor assembly industry. In 2010, Millspeed Technical Solutions, LLC was launched in order to expand into new markets and opportunities.
Since 2011, Rick Millen has held the position of adjunct faculty in the Mechanical Technology department at SUNY Broome teaching three level courses of engineering design and solid modeling techniques to freshman and sophmore students.
